At Embodywear Fashions each of our designs are named after a Goddess. The philosophy behind this is that by wearing one of our designs, you are embodying the characteristics of that Goddess; you are honoring that part of yourself – your Goddess within. 

This is the seventh in a monthly series of posts that will add a little more depth about the virtues of each Goddess, and this month we are honoring Rosmerta, the Goddess of abundance.

Rosmerta is a Celtic Goddess of abundance, well-being, prosperity, peace and plenty, with shrines throughout Celtic Europe.  Rosmerta, meaning "Great Provider", was often depicted, holding a cornucopia and a basket of fruit. These symbols represented abundance, prosperity and good fortune in Celtic culture.  

Rosmerta will help with the abundance we need from Mother Earth.  In these days of crazy weather events which affect our ability to grow and harvest crops, call on Rosmerta to help us all maintain an abundant supply of food.   Her powers of fertility and abundance, combined with her healing skills makes her a perfect Goddess to call on to heal our world and bring us to a state of harmony and abundance. 

Our design for Rosmerta, Sheaves of Wheat, celebrates the harvest of abundance of the season. It is rich in beautiful fall colors of sienna and golden wheat.
